Flower Vaster Than Cathedrals

Flowers Vaster Than Cathedrals is a limited variable edition zine, hand printed in the Autumn of 2021.

The images were created by tracing shadows of plants in my garden directly onto mounted linoleum blocks & printing them on a 1960's Dick Blick Sign Press. The paper varies from edition to edition, as I used French Paper Co. text weight stock I had collected through the years. All images were hand-brayered & printed in metallic ink. The vellum cover also doubles as an art print, & features unique ink wipes over-printed with hand set vintage wood type for the title in black.

The line Flowers Vaster Than Cathedrals is borrowed from the Denise Levertov poem "Travels."

Each edition is signed & numbered, then printed with gold foil on the paper band.
